El Empalme de Boaco is a rural area in Nicaragua where most people live under extreme poverty. Approximately 15,000 children under the age of 15 years and their families have no access to health care. These forgotten and less fortunate people now have a hope in their future. An initiative to build a community health clinic to provide basic medical services and preventative care is in progress.
A small faith-based Hispanic community in Charlotte, NC — La Luz de Cristo — is reaching out to this community in dire need. They want to express love in action in El Empalme de Boaco by serving all people, regardless of their background, political or religious views. You can now join this effort and feel the satisfaction to help those less fortunate.
